Entertaiment – A Universal Need

Entertaiment is something that takes you into another world in a euphoric state and gives you immense pleasure, you forget all your problems and wish this moment just never ends. Entertainment is a universal need and the transforming effects of familiar forms across different media have demonstrated an almost unlimited potential for creative remix. The word entertainment is derived from the medieval Latin intertenere, with the prefix inter meaning “inside” and the suffix tenere, a root of Indo-European that means to hold or keep up, just as the euphoric state induced by familiar artforms can sometimes seem to stretch time itself.
