The word entertain has a number of different meanings, but it’s most commonly used to refer to any type of show or activity that gives pleasure or amusement. It can be as simple as watching a funny movie or doing a hobby such as solving a crossword, but it can also be more complex such as social backstabbing, murders and other themes that the human brain was evolved to react deeply to.
